1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the Ụgwọ mobile application and website, operated by NIPPYSKY ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. What Ụgwọ is — and isn't
Ụgwọ is a personal record-keeping tool for informal debts between you and people you know. It is not a bank, a lender, a payment service, or a debt-collection agency. Records in Ụgwọ are your private notes; they do not create, prove, or enforce any legal obligation, and we take no part in any transaction or dispute between you and the people in your ledger.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Ụgwọ.
- Sign-in is by magic link or one-time code sent to your email — keep access to your email account secure.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for how you use reminder messages.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Ụgwọ to harass, threaten, or defame anyone; to record unlawful transactions; to attempt to breach, probe, or overload our systems; or to reverse-engineer the app except where the law permits. Reminders you share are sent by you, in your name — send them with the same courtesy the app composes them with.
5. Your data
Your ledger is end-to-end encrypted; we cannot read it. Because only your devices hold the readable form, keeping at least one signed-in device (or your account email) is your responsibility — if you lose access to both, we cannot recover your data for you. You can export a PDF statement or delete your account at any time.
6. Service availability
Ụgwọ is provided "as is" and "as available". The app works offline; sync requires connectivity. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Where possible we will give reasonable notice of material changes.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NIPPYSKY is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from debts, repayments, or disputes between you and third parties recorded in the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the preceding 12 months (Ụgwọ is currently free, so this is ₦0).
8. Termination
You may stop using Ụgwọ and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On deletion, your data is erased as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Nigeria, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.
10. Changes to these Terms
We will update this page and revise the date above when these Terms change. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
